Originated in 2013/14
In the year 2013 there was a team of 8 students who, under Martin Preuß's guidance, wanted to create a short film. Noone of us had ever got in touch with the topic film before the beginning of this project. That's why we could not draw on experiences we had collected beforehand.
In the course of the year we established a story about an elderly woman and a realtor, which has an unexpected ending. Everyone of us undertook a special task for this project, for which he or she was responsible from that minute onwards. I undertook the task of the producer. In this context I organised equipment, began to search for actors, made a lot of telephone calls and secured that everyone knew where they had to be and what they had to do on the days of shooting. Furthermore, me and two other students were responsible for the post-production in the case of the making-of. Our main camera was the RED camera which can produce films in 4K.
The end result is a 6.5 minutes long short film, which, most of all, attracts attention through its surreal coloration. The spectator is transfered into another world, which gives reason to expect a lot, but at the same time keeps him in the dark about its outcome till the end of the movie.
The story, which elapsed from our first ideas, is not a "normal" story, as the elderly woman is not normal as well. That she is not normal becomes evident in the end of the film.
The used music, composed by Timo Neumann contributes to the surreal atmosphere. It is very cheerful, even though it contrast with the footage in the end, what only helps to underline the story's unexpected outcome.
